The University’s annual Global Horizons festival is set to celebrate Edinburgh’s international population.
The festival, which begins on February 19, highlights and promotes the diversity of Edinburgh’s international students and the benefits they bring to the local community.
Events at the festival are open to everyone. This year, they include concerts and carnivals, a mini football World Cup, food tasting events and a “horrible history” tour of the University.

One of the headlining events each year is Rhythmic World, a concert of music and dance, which takes place on February 23.
The performers at this event are almost exclusively students at the University of Edinburgh - most involved in student cultural societies, who perform dance or music from their home country or culture.
In recent years performances include Egyptian belly dancing, Classical Persian dance, hip-hop and Brazilian capoeira.
