Photos by our international students reveal their lasting impressions of Edinburgh.
International students were invited to submit a photograph that depicted an impression of Edinburgh that they will always remember.
Students were asked to think about the city, the culture, the University, the people, the buildings and the things they have seen and done.
The competition winners were chosen by photographer Jane Barlow at The Scotsman newspaper from a shortlist of the entries picked by the University's Photography Society.
You can view all entries to the competition on the Global Horizons Facebook page.
The competition was held as part of our Global Horizons Festival, which highlights, celebrates and promotes the diversity of our international student population.
Our worldwide reputation for excellence in both teaching and research attracts students from all over the world.
More than 28,000 students from 137 countries attend the University and 33 per cent of those students are from outside the UK.
