The fee covers the costs of registration, tuition and examination.
The fee does not cover the costs of accommodation and subsistence in Edinburgh.
The cost of living can vary greatly depending on your lifestyle, budget and spending habits. However, using the University's estimated lower and upper costs of living in Edinburgh, you should expect to pay about £7,500-15,000 for living expenses over the year.
The School has four full-fee scholarships to award to eligible students on the programmes in OR with Data Science, Statistics with Data Science and Computational Mathematical Finance in 2017-18 thanks to support from Data Lab. To be eligible for a Data Lab scholarship you must have been made an offer of a place on one of the three programmes listed above and be an EU national who has been resident in Scotland or a non-UK EU nation for the past three years. Applications should be made by email to ORMSc@ed.ac.uk, StatsMSc@ed.ac.uk or CMFMSc@ed.ac.uk respectively, with a deadline of 31 May 2017. In addition to covering the full tuition fee, Data Lab scholars will be invited to events hosted through the year by Data Lab and will undertake an external dissertation project sourced by Data Lab.
