Editorial policy

Arachnofiles welcomes contributions from postgraduates, academics, or any other individual interested in the languages and cultures of Europe or its former colonies.

Authors will retain copyright of their contributions to the journal, and are free to publish them elsewhere, either in part or in whole. Articles may be submitted in English or in any of the other languages of the School (Danish, French, German, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, or Swedish).

Submission guidance

Contributions from 4,000 to 10,000 words in length should be submitted either by email attachment or on diskette, and should normally be accompanied by an abstract of no more than 400 words. Plain text or Microsoft Word files are preferred, but other formats may be used through agreement with the Editors.

References should be kept to a minimum and submitted as endnotes and/or lists of Works Cited. All references should adhere to the MLA Handbook for Writers of Research Papers, 5th edition. Authors wishing to include graphics or sound files along with their text should consult with the Editors beforehand.

All articles will be sent to independent referees for approval before publication.
