Review of Scottish Culture

The Review of Scottish Culture (ROSC) is a publication of the European Ethnological Research Centre (EERC), an independent research body within Celtic and Scottish Studies, University of Edinburgh.


Founded in 1984 by the late Professor Alexander Fenton, it is an international, fully peer-reviewed journal that encourages multi- and interdisciplinary research with a focus on the social and cultural history of Scotland from earliest times to the present day, its material culture and ethnology. Published annually, it contains a mix of extended research articles, shorter notes and topics, a noticeboard and book reviews.
