Special Event at the Scottish Parliament

In addition to the academic conference, on the evening of Friday 20th April we also hosted a public conversation event entitled ‘Muslims and the political process in Scotland’. The event took place at the Scottish Parliament and followed a ‘Question Time’ format with members of the public posing questions to our panel which included Muslim representatives from the four largest political parties in Scotland:

Hamira Khan (former Scottish Conservative Party)

Hanzala Malik MSP (Scottish Labour Party)

Shabnum Mustapha (former Scottish Liberal Democrat candidate)

Humza Yousaf MSP (Scottish National Party)

The event was chaired by Professor Mona Siddiqui OBE.
