Bacchus is a pow'r divine...! is a fundraising concert starring Andrew Kennedy, winner of the Song Prize in BBC Cardiff Singer of the World (2005), which promotes the University of Edinburgh's £6.5m vision to restore, renovate & make accessible St Cecilia's Hall, Scotland's oldest concert hall, with its world famous collection of musical instruments. A period instrument concert with world famous performers, which recreates the musical zeitgeist of the tercentenary of the 1715 Jacobite rebellion with British courtly music of the late 17th and early 18th centuries by Draghi, Eccles, Keller, Purcell & Smith.
