Description: ASSIA: Applied Social Sciences Index and Abstracts is an indexing and abstracting tool covering health, social services, psychology, sociology, economics, politics, race relations and education. Updated monthly, ASSIA provides a comprehensive source of social science and health information for the practical and academic professional. It contains records from over 500 journals published in 16 different countries, including the UK and US.

Description: The Excerpta Medica database, a major pharmacological and biomedical literature database covering about 3,300 journals from110 countries. Covers mainly journal literature (plus some book reviews and conference proceedings) with strong coverage of European journals.

Access information: Access on and off campus.
Description: Produced by the British Library of Political and Economic Science. One of the largest and most comprehensive social sciences databases in the world, indexing 2600 journals and 6000 books per annum, in the core disciplines of economics, sociology, politics and anthropology.
Coverage: From 1951 to date.

Medline

Access information: Access on and off campus. Also available from FirstSearch - Access on and off campus.
Description: National Library of Medicine database, covering worldwide medical literature including research, clinical practice, administration, policy issues and health care services. Corresponds to three printed indexes - Index Medicus, Index to Dental Literature and International Nursing Index. Covers 3,200 journals published in the USA and about 70 other countries.
Coverage: From 1966 to date.

Description: Produced and copyrighted ? by the American Psychological Association, and is a database of full-text articles from 56 journals published by the American Psychological Association, the APA Educational Publishing Foundation, the Canadian Psychological Association, and Hogrefe & Huber.
The database includes all material from the print journals with the exception of advertisements, editorial board lists, instructions to authors and similar material.

Psychoanalytic Electronic Publishing (PEP) Web Archive

Access information: Access on and off campus.
Description: Full-text psychoanalysis resource of: 49 journals; 96 classic books; editorial notes of the 24 volumes of the Standard Edition of the Complete Psychological Works of Sigmund Freud; 18 volume German Freud Standard Edition Gesammelte Werke.
