Access information: Freely available
Description: Institutional repository of University of Edinburgh staff's research outputs. Includes information on awards, projects and press coverage as well as publications, many of which are available on an Open Access basis.

Description: The source of journal impact factors, JCR is a unique resource for journal evaluation using citation data drawn from over 8,400 science and technology journals and 3,000 in the social sciences.

Requires personal registration using your institutional email. Off-campus, you must also be accessing the University network via the VPN service.

Description: Bibliometrics database.  Find metrics for your own publications, for your department or the University of Edinburgh as a whole, or for other researchers and institutions.  Alternatively, examine bibliometrics by country or research area.

Description: Abstract and citation database containing both peer-reviewed research literature and quality web sources.  Contains over 16 million author profiles, 70,000 institutional profiles, 5000 publishers, 70 million records, 1.4 billion cited references, covers over 20,000 journals from health, life, physical and social sciences and the humanities.
