Staff and students have two credit accounts associated with their print/copy account. A Charged Balance (where real money is credited) and a Free Quota Balance (where School based funds are credited). All cloud devices accept credits from both your charged balance and free quota balance.
Newly matriculated students will have £4 free quota added to their print and copy balance at the start of their course.
You can add real money credits to your charged balance by:
Non-University members or guests wanting to photocopy using the Xerox MFPs must first go to the Helpdesk in a Library (listed above) to be issued with a copycard (for which there is a £1 charge)
You must produce your University card when you pay at a Helpdesk. Cash or cheques (payable to 'the University of Edinburgh' with cheque guarantee card) are accepted. Payment by credit or debit card is available at the Main Library and the Noreen and Kenneth Murray Library. Card transactions are only for the amount of £5 or over.
Look at the task bar at the bottom of your computing screen. At the right-hand corner (near where the time is shown), you will see a small arrow. Click on this and it will show any hidden icons including a £ icon. In some labs the icon may appear as a dollar sign ($).
Double-click on the £ icon. A window showing your amount of print credit will appear.
