Information Security Awareness Week 2016

This Information Security Awareness Week, running from 3-7 October, we'll be sharing ideas, hosting events and giving tips and advice on how you can protect your information.

The most valuable asset the University has is information. The week will focus on why information matters to all University staff and students, and how you can take some very simple steps to protect your personal data and research material.

Treat it like Treasure event

Introduced and hosted by the University Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), Alistair Fenemore, this is the main event of Information Security Awareness Week 2016. Speakers will present their own perspective on day to day information security threats and how to combat them before coming together to take questions from the audience.

Open to all staff and students - book a place here.

A light lunch will be provided between 1pm - 1.45pm.

'Meet the team' events

You can also meet the Information Security team this week to ask their advice in person about protecting your information, or discuss with them how your work or study is affected.
