Newly employed staff at the University can now submit photographs electronically for their staff identity cards.
Digital image submission is already available to students, and this has now been extended to new staff.
This change makes it easier and quicker for new members of staff to submit passport-style photographs and receive their new identity card.
Digital image submissions will reduce paper, as well as eliminating the need for scanning physical images. A new card can now be issued within one working day of it being submitted via the new digital image submission channel in MyEd, the University's web portal for students, staff, visitors, alumni and applicants.
Improving the experience of new employees is one of the aims of this joint project between IS Applications and User Services divisions. The University as a whole issues over 2000 identity cards a year to staff.
