Archaeology is the study of the human past through the medium of surviving artefacts from the remote and more recent past — fragmentary remains of houses, tombs, tools, and industrial or domestic debris — and the contexts in which they occur.
A combined honours degree can give you the flexibility and variety of knowledge and skills offered by a combination of subjects.
Archaeology staff have led field projects in many parts of Britain, continental Europe, the Mediterranean and Middle East, and we actively encourage our students to join in our research teams.
