National Mining Museum Trip

A day trip to the National Mining Museum Scotland (NMMS) in Newtongrange, Midlothian.

The museum is based in the former Lady Victoria colliery, and is now one of the best preserved Victorian collieries left in Europe. The main focus of the excursion will be a guided tour of the colliery and pithead, conducted by an ex-miner guide. In addition, there will also be an introduction to the archived material that the museum holds in its collections - photographs, mining equipment and books/journals/primary material.

Date & time: Tuesday 18th, 10.00am start, all day trip, return approx. 3.30pm

Accessibility: Folding wheelchairs only can be accommodated on the coach.
