What to do in Welcome Week 2023
Welcome Week is the start of your time at the University of Edinburgh when you'll meet the staff who will teach you and support you throughout your studies and your fellow new students.
Welcome to our School
Thank you for accepting your offer to study in the School of History, Classics and Archaeology at the University of Edinburgh. We hope that you enjoy this opportunity to begin to explore the University and meet your classmates. We look forward to meeting you soon.
Welcome Week starts on Monday 11 September 2023.
Attend our School Welcome events
We strongly encourage you to attend our School events during Welcome Week, as they will give you important introductory information to your degree programme and to the School community.
All events will be recorded and made available to students on these events pages, in case anyone wasn’t able to attend and/or wants to re-watch the event at a later date. As there will, however, be some delay between the event and uploading the recordings, we strongly recommend that you attend the live event where you can.
If you're unsure which events you should attend, check the list of degree programmes below to find out whether your degree is part of the History, Classics or Archaeology subject area.
