When you have received your offer of acceptance from the School of History, Classics and Archaeology, we expect you will have many questions ahead of starting your programme in September.

What to do in Welcome Week 2017

Welcome Week is the start of your time at Edinburgh; you will register for your courses, attend introductory sessions, explore the University and have the chance to meet your classmates.

Welcome Reception and Year Group Meeting

The School new student reception is on Monday 18 September 2017 and the year group meeting on Wednesday 20 September 2017.

Choose your courses

You can find out what courses are available now using our online tool, Path. You must meet with your Personal Tutor in Welcome Week to choose your courses.

What to do now

There are plenty activities to keep you busy between now and Welcome Week. Download our Getting Started guide, visit the New Students website, do some preparatory reading or plan out your Welcome Week activities.

Make the most of Information Services

Our Information Services website will help you get started with email, printing and University software. Come along to ‘Making the most of IT’ to get up to speed with computing and library services.

About your studies

How to find us

You will find us in the William Robertson Wing of the Old Medical School. Our Student Support Office is your first point of contact if you have any questions about your programme of study and for providing support and guidance throughout the year.
