Developing the School’s book collections

Third year MA in Classics student Laura Falkiner-Rogers will be cataloguing and improving access to the School’s book collections, which are held in the Student Research Rooms.

Working alongside Academic Liaison Librarian, Margaret Forrest, Laura will carry out a stock check of the books and will complete the cataloguing for three collections; Archaeology, Sellar and Goodhart (Classics) and the Scottish History Collection.

Laura brings experience of working as a Student Research Room volunteer to her role.

Digitising the Sir William Fraser collection

Pippa Carter, a third year MA History and History of Art student, will also be working with Margaret on the digitisation and promotion of the School's collection of Sir William Fraser Facsimiles.

Pippa too is familiar with the School’s collections having volunteered in the Student Research Room over the last academic year.

This programme of digitisation is already underway and some of the collection is available now on the School website.
