Biography

I grew up in the countryside of Wisconsin where I was first introduced to the Greeks and Romans through the poetry of John Keats and T.S. Eliot. I completed degrees in Classics in the United States at Hillsdale College (BA), the University of California Santa Barbara (MA), and Cornell University (PhD). After finishing my graduate work in 2012, I lectured for a year in the department of Classics at University of California, Santa Barbara and then taught Latin and Spanish at Lake Highland Preparatory School in Orlando, Florida. In 2004 I moved to Edinburgh to join the University of Edinburgh as a Chancellor’s Fellow.
