About us

Nursing Studies at the University of Edinburgh has a long standing tradition of providing nursing programmes for 50 years.

The department offers both undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes, as well as continuing professional development courses.

The undergraduate programme is a four-year programme which leads to a Bachelor of Nursing degree and registration as a nurse (adult branch).

There are also several postgraduate degree programmes from taught MSc/Diplomas to PhD.

As one of the first universities to offer a nursing degree in the UK (since 1956), the University of Edinburgh has a long tradition of preparing graduate nurses.
