International Student Centre (ISC)

The International Student Centre (ISC) is a place for all students.

Whether you are returning or new, home or international, undergraduate or postgraduate, at the ISC you can meet and interact with people from all over the world.

What is the ISC?

The ISC is a student-run group, which is an associate member of the Edinburgh University Student Association (EUSA).

Staffed by a volunteer committee, the ISC runs regular activities designed to create new friendships, experience the best of Scotland and beyond, and to make every student's time at Edinburgh an unforgettable one.

What does the ISC do?

Volunteers at the ISC run a lounge serving free tea and coffee on weekdays for all students.

Opening hours

Monday to Friday - 12.00 to 16.00

The lounge is open until 18.00 every Tuesday for Coffee Evening.

Throughout the year, the ISC also organises:

  • weekly themed events representing different countries (eg: Japanese Night, Mexican Night)
  • weekly subsidized trips around Scotland and England
  • movie nights and pub nights
  • campus-wide events such as International Desserts Night and International Evening

To find out about its events, you can register to receive its weekly newsletter either in person at the ISC or on its website.
