Our Airport Welcome Team meets new students arriving at Edinburgh Airport in September each year. We will help you find your way to your accommodation, so make sure you know your Edinburgh address!
If you arrive outside the official arrival period, it is still very easy to find your own way to your accommodation.

This is an opportunity to meet Edinburgh Global staff and other new students, have your questions answered and have a cup of tea or coffee in an informal environment. Come along to see us anytime!

International Day is a great opportunity to get off to the best start. You’ll learn about practical and important things to do in your first week, the academic and social experience at Edinburgh, and meet new friends. Learn about the Students’ Association, clubs and societies, volunteering opportunities, and the support available to you as an international student.
Finish the day trying your hand at some traditional dancing at the Ceilidh in the Teviot Debating Hall.

This event is for the parents and relatives accompanying new students. It is an opportunity to meet some of the Edinburgh Global team and learn more about the University and the wide range of services provided. Parents and family can attend either session on September 9 or 10 2017.

The Royal Bank of Scotland will be on campus to provide information during a drop-in service about what they offer and open bank accounts for matriculated students.
Some international students may need to register with the police, normally within seven days of collecting your BRP. It will say on your visa if you are required to register.

Every September, we host an informal get-together for all families and partners of international students and for all student parents and carers. This offers the chance to meet peers and find out what support is available at the University and beyond. This a free but ticketed event.
