Leo du Feu & Susan Smith exhibition

Leo du Feu and his mother Susan Smith exhibited their artwork as part of the Festival Fringe. Both Leo and Susan are Edinburgh graduates, Leo in Drawing & Painting (2006), Susan in Fine Art (1976). Their show featured a new collection of oils by Susan, and Leo exhibited a selection of works made between graduating ECA and now.

The free exhibition was at Royal Over-Seas League and open to all from 3 August - 18 September, 10am - 6pm.

It's a treat to exhibit alongside each other here at Over-Seas House Edinburgh in only our second ever mother-son show. Even more special - we're showing two of mum's mum's paintings alongside our own.

Dennis and Debbie Club: The Strip

Dennis J. Reinmuller, a 2013 ECA graduate, exhibited his work The Strip, as part of the duo the Dennis and Debbie Club, a collaboration with fellow artist Debbie Moody.

The Strip was an audio-visual installation, featuring looping CGI animations displayed over multiple screens. It featured reconstructions of three different locations: the greenhouse in which Kurt Cobain shot himself in 1994; a crater on the planet Mars from data captured by ESA’s Mars Express Mission in 2014; and a collage of seemingly timeless buildings found along Los Angeles’ Sunset Strip.

The Strip was at CodeBase (Argyle House) from 1 - 30 August on Saturdays and Sundays, 10am - 6pm.

Kirsteen Davidson Kelly: Outlandia

Music graduate Kirsteen Davidson Kelly’s work was a part of Remote Centres: Performances from Outlandia, a collection of performance and sound works originally created at the Outlandia fieldstation in Glen Nevis, Scotland.

Remote Centres: Performances from Outlandia was open at the Tent Gallery as part of the Edinburgh Art Festival, Monday - Friday from 30 July - 30 August, 12pm - 5pm.
