Security, safety and the well-being of the University community is at the heart of what we do.
The University of Edinburgh Security Section provides a 24-hour service across the University estate on every day of the year.
We have 60 members of staff who are easily recognisable by their red jackets. You will also spot our red electric vehicles across the estate.
As well as routine foot and vehicle patrols we also monitor CCTV, intruder, fire and building access control systems.
We work proactively to provide a safe and secure environment for all students and staff.

Our team
Our Security Team is made up over 60 officers with various roles and responsibilities, easily recognisable by our red uniform jackets.
