Job Vacancy - Project Administrator (Ref: 036376)

This is an exciting opportunity for a Project Administrator to join our expanding Edinburgh Imaging team.

The post holder will provide project management to Professor Joanna Wardlaw, which includes her role as the Director of the Brain Research Imaging Centre, Head of Neuroimaging Sciences, and several related projects. They will be fundamental in the organisation and running of several research projects. This will include clinical research project management, preparing regulatory documentation, data management, preparing reports and analysis with accuracy and confidentiality.

 

Main Responsibilities • Responsible for clinical research project management, notably trial management, ethics, MHRA and other regulatory documentation, data management (including data entry and data checking), preparing tabular reports and analysis, and liaising with ACCORD (University and NHS R&D), with accuracy and confidentiality. 40%

• Draft and edit applications for research grants (ethics using the IRAS system, NHS R&D, MHRA), funders’ reports and research reports. 30%

• Assist, as co-author in some instances, in the preparation of manuscripts, other papers and reports, including analyses as required, proofreading and editing, formatting references according to relevant journal style guide and uploading to websites. 10%

• Responsible for routine update and preparation of grant reports and maintenance as required for external and internal reviews, collation of publications (including publication impact factors) and monitoring of research activities. 10%

• Prepare and monitor monthly and annual finance review of grant awards and management of expenses for large research group, liaising as needed with the University’s Research and Finance offices. 8%

• Provide confidential PA service to Professor Wardlaw as efficiently and effectively as possible, with the minimum of personal intervention. 2%

 

Salary scale University of Edinburgh Grade 6 (£26,274 – £30,434) This Full Time post is fixed term for 3 years in the first instance with the expectation that it will continue long term.
