Geoffrey Baines is one of our Associate Chaplains.
Geoffrey began his time as an Associate Chaplain at the beginning of 2016, having formerly been an Honorary Chaplain since 2006, when he moved to Edinburgh to take on a new role with the Methodist Church.
This role changed over the years to include exploration and experimenting around personal development, resulting in a form of mentoring Geoffrey calls dreamwhispering – whispering because he listens to the dreams a person’s life may be whispering, but perhaps they don’t hear or value these things for a host of reasons. Since 2006 he has worked with some four hundred people on their talents and dreams. This has also led to the curation of VOXedinburgh – a creative community which seeks to use our talents to make a difference in people’s lives.
Geoffrey is now a “minister without appointment,” making it possible to further develop the work he loves with dreamwhispering, writing, and doodling. He loves especially to work on a one-to-one basis, believing everyone has amazing talents and dreams. Every day he blogs and doodles about this.
