Biomedical Sciences

Bringing a fellowship?

Biomedical Sciences has an outstanding track record in hosting and supporting externally funded personal Research Fellowships at all levels and nurturing Fellows to the next stage in their academic and research career.

Our Research Centres work closely with prospective Fellows from the earliest stages of Fellowship application through interview processes and are fully committed to the long term proactive support of Fellows to allow them to reach their full potential.

Biomedical Sciences, together with the College of Medicine and University of Edinburgh have extensive mentoring and academic development programmes. Candidates with prestigious Senior Fellowships (4-5 years’ duration) are enrolled in the Edinburgh Scientific Academic Track (ESAT) scheme that develops the knowledge, skills and experience needed to become a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer/Reader at the end of the Fellowship.
