Anatomy workshops for the public
Understanding your body
Are you interested in how the body works?
Are you fascinated by all things 'anatomical'?
The Anatomy staff at Edinburgh University invite you to join them for the third year of ground-breaking anatomy workshops.
Spend a day at one of the country's oldest medical schools, learning about the human body through a series of lectures and hands-on practical sessions, led by our expert anatomists.
Lunch will be served in the anatomical museum where you will be able to see more historical items. The museum is currently only open to the public once a month so this allows a rare opportunity to spend some time looking at the history of medical teaching in the University.
This unique experience is limited to 25 places. Each workshop can be attended as a stand alone educational experience or all six can be combined as an unrivalled course in how your body functions.
Workshop 1 - Upper limb - 18th March 2017
Workshop 2 - Lower limb - 22nd April 2017
Workshop 3 - Nervous system and Back - 20th May 2017
Workshop 4 - Chest - 17th June 2017
Workshop 5 - Abdomen and Pelvis - 16th September 2017
Workshop 6 - Head and Neck - 14th October 2017
Additional course information: Each day runs from 10-4pm with lunch and refreshments provided. A certificate of attendance will be available to participants. Due to the nature of the course there will be exposure to human cadaveric material. Course participants must be over 16 years of age. No photography is permitted.
Course cost: Each workshop is £100 with a discount for purchasing all 6 at once (£500 for 6).
