What is an MP3?
An MP3 file is an audio file that is suitable for download over the internet.
The University's audio podcasts are provided in MP3 format - you will need MP3 player software in order to play the files.
Software MP3 players are widely available for free. A few of the main ones are listed below:
- iTunes - available for Mac or PC as a free download.
- Windows Media Player- a free download for PCs and older versions are available for Macs.
- Winamp - media player for PCs available as a free basic version.
- MediaMonkey - PC media player with free basic version.
