A record number of teams have signed up to the Edinburgh Sustainability Awards with 23 teams from across the University taking part in the 2011/12 awards scheme.
Teams from across different schools and campus locations are taking part in this year's awards, ensuring that the awards are building on the successful pilot last year when 14 teams took part.
This year has also seen over 30 student volunteers acting as ambassadors for the awards scheme by promoting the awards, supporting teams and auditing departments.
The deadline for teams signing up to this year's awards scheme has now passed.
The scheme brings staff and students together to enable and showcase positive changes in social responsibility and sustainability practice.
It is a positive scheme that celebrates achievement, recognizes the efforts of individuals and encourages sharing of good practice through strong communication.
The awards scheme is jointly run by the University and the Edinburgh University Students' Association.
For teams currently working through the online workbook the date for submissions is Friday 6 April.
