University staff and students are invited to an event on the morning of Tuesday 17 July to share experiences of the challenges and opportunities for promoting social responsibility and sustainability (SRS).
This workshop will enable senior managers within acdemic and support units, academic leaders in SRS-related subjects as well as a wide range of practioners delivering different aspects of the SRS agenda, to achieve a shared understanding of delivering this underlying theme of the 2012-2016 Strategic Plan. Student representatives are also invited.
The main purposes of the event are to;
Attendees will hear from Vice Principal Mary Bownes and Nigel Paul, Director of Corporate Services, along with a selection of different practioners, providing an insight into the challenges and opportunities they face in promoting their SRS related area.
From this, attendees are asked to note the following action points at the end of the session;
A summary of people's thoughts, experiences and action points will be circulated and posted on the website of the Sustainability Office following the event.
The event takes place between 8.45am - 12.30pm, Tuesday 17 July at Playfair Library Library Hall, Old College.
