Volunteering
The Talbot Rice Gallery actively seeks the support of volunteers to help with the day to day running of the gallery and to provide support for exhibitions.
Volunteer Information Assistant
Our Volunteer Information Assistants become a valuable part of the gallery team, while being given an opportunity to engage with contemporary art in a direct way.

Talbot Rice Gallery supports Volunteer Information Assistants by:
- Helping to encourage the development of communication skills so that volunteers can better contribute to the visitor experience and enabling confidence of expression and the competent sharing of ideas and exhibition information.
- Providing different skills and perspectives relating to the daily operations of a university art gallery, arts administration and contemporary art in general.
- Offering opportunities for people who are seeking to pursue a career within the arts sector.
- Providing an environment for volunteers from a wide range of backgrounds and abilities to ensure volunteering opportunities are as accessible as possible.
