Talented drivers are being recruited to learn motor racing at the University.

Twelve individuals will have the opportunity to experience track racing in Austria and Germany, off-track training in France as well as studying in Edinburgh.
Researchers from the University’s Institute of Sport are working with the company ESP Scotland to deliver the one-year intensive Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) Excellence Academy
Former world rally champion Robert Reid and two-time Le Mans winner Alexander Wurz will instruct the programme, alongside University staff.
The programme will focus on all aspects of racing performance and provide skills needed in for the business such as sponsorship, marketing, media and career management.
The year’s programme combines educational workshops at Edinburgh with circuit and off-track training in Europe. This is an exciting project for young drivers with outstanding potential to learn from our team’s unique blend of world-class expertise and experience.
