The William Rankine building houses the School of Engineering’s Institute for Infrastructure and Environment.

The William Rankine building is the product of a £5m development to provide space for the study of engineering and electronics.
It is the first building in the UK to increase energy efficiency by actively drawing in daylight.
The building was officially opened in 2006 by Gordon Masterson, the President of the Institution of Civil Engineers.
